• “Are you the messiah?” 
• “No”, answered Buddha. 
• “Then are you a healer?” 
• “No”, Buddha replied. 
• “Then are you a teacher?” the student persisted. 
• “No, I am not a teacher.” 
• “Then what are you?” asked the student, exasperated. 
• “I am awake”, Buddha replied.
